Terms of Service
User License, & Intellectual Property Rights
- The Cryptid website and all other connected services are provided “as is” and without warranty of any kind to 18+ Users by Cryptid. You can only use the Cryptid services if you are over 18 years old and considered not to be a minor by local law of your residential area.
- The User acknowledges that they are solely responsible for the safety and security of their (cryptocurrency/blockchain) wallet, funds, and tokens. Furthermore, the User is responsible for verifying all (blockchain) transactions that interact with the Cryptid smart contracts and services before signing them and sending them for execution on the Polygon blockchain.
- The User acknowledges that the Cryptid website, other connected services, or personnel working for the project will never ask for their Crypto wallet seed phrase or private keys. However, if such a case occurs, the User is advised not to proceed and immediately notify the Cryptid team by emailing contactus@cryptid.live or reaching out to another admin on Discord.
- The User acknowledges that all interactions with the Cryptid website and smart contracts are happening on chain and that undos, reverts, or refunds are impossible. The User is solely responsible for all transaction fees and other expenses incurred while interacting with the Cryptid website, smart contracts, and other services.
- The User acknowledges that the only expectation they have from acquiring a Cryptid NFT is to acquire the underlying artwork and the personal and commercial use licenses associated with the specific artwork contained in their individually owned NFT.
- After the user mints and acquires any of the Cryptid tokens, the User is solely responsible for the safekeeping of the tokens, downloading, and storing the acquired artwork / NFT.
- The User acknowledges that by acquiring one or more Cryptid NFTs, that they have no other expectations, such as being entitled to any financial rewards, profits arising from the work of others, NFT royalties, staking crypto, DeFi yields, etc. Furthermore, the User acknowledges that he or she does not expect any other form of income arising from owning one or more NFTs from the Cryptid NFT collection. The User is not entitled to any share of revenue or profits derived from the Cryptid brand and other related products made and sold by related companies in the eco-system.
- The ownership of Cryptid NFT tokens and artwork is maintained by the smart contract that was developed for it. The User can prove the ownership by having the NFT token in their blockchain wallet. We are unable to and will never seize, modify or transfer the ownership of any Cryptid NFT token.
- By acquiring the NFT token, the User is granted both personal use license and commercial use license for the artwork represented by the subject NFT token as defined below. Personal and commercial use licenses do not grant permission to use or associate with the Cryptid name, brand, logo, trademark, or any other intellectual property without written consent.
- Personal use license: By acquiring the NFT token, the User is free to use the artwork for all personal purposes, including but not limited to social media profile pictures, printed posters, desktop backgrounds, etc., as long as the usage of the artwork does not violate any human rights, terms and conditions defined in this document, any other laws, and for as long as the User can cryptographically prove ownership of the NFT token associated with the used artwork. The User is free to use and display the artwork on other websites, apps, or services.
